The PTSA is the largest child advocacy volunteer organization that speaks for the interest of all children and their safety, health, welfare and education.

**TYEE PTSA ACTIVITIES**

Tyee’s PTSA plans, implements and funds a variety of projects every year in support of our students, staff and community. These projects include supporting health and safety programs like Walkabout and Health Room Volunteers. PTSA supports curriculum based programs to drive excellence in teaching through teacher generated classroom grants, the purchase of teaching aids and equipment, support-ing 6th Grade Camp, assisting with Taking Care of Business Days and the Book Fair. Also, PTSA supports the following programs: Staff Appreciation, Tyee Newsletter, Tyee Membership Directory, Student Socials, Back-to-School BBQ, Welcome Coffee, 8th Grade Party and Advancement Night. These programs are funded through your membership fees and fundraisers held throughout the year.
The annual Curriculum Night Classroom Bucks Fundraiser collected over $16,000 last year. Also, our Student Store (aka the Tyee Trader) and eScrips raise funds for these programs.
Our PTSA volunteers and fundraisers strengthen our school, support our teachers and staff and provide our students more opportunities to grow, learn and advance in a safe and stimulating environment.
