Welcome back to school

25th Mark your calendars for the Back to School BBQ and Curriculum Night on Thursday .BBQ order form is attached pre-order your meal by September 19th. BBQ will begin at 5:30pm, followed by the PTSA meeting at 6pm and Curriculum Night at 7pm. Entertainment and activities will be available for children and Tyee students while parents are visiting classrooms for Curriculum Night. 

Don't forget to donate to Classroom Bucks! You can donate now or during Curriculum Night! Classroom Bucks funds go directly to our teachers and support curriculum-based classroom activities. It is a great way to directly impact our students in the classroom. Please see attached donation form. Curriculum Night and BTS BBQ Volunteers Needed:  In the mean time, we will continue to prepare for the start of school.  Curriculum Night and Back to School BBQ will be Thursday, September 25th.  We are looking for High School Student Volunteers to supervise activities for students and their siblings while parents are attending Curriculum Night.  There will be age-appropriate activities for children of all ages. 6th Grade Social Chair Needed:  The 6th grade social is tentatively scheduled for directly after school on September 19th.  We are looking for a parent who would be willing to coordinate the 1.5-hour event.  The purpose of the 6th grade social is to allow students to get to know each other as a class early in the school year.  There should be games and activities, food and music.  The Social Committee will be available to help and coach the 6th grade social chairperson, so you'll have lots of help and support.  If interested please respond to this e-mail. 

New e-mail Subscription Service:  The PTSA is moving from our old distribution list to a new e-mail subscription service.  If you have not signed up via the Tyee website or during Taking Care of Business, please sign-up in the next two weeks. We will be moving to the new e-mail subscription service by September 15th.  Go to the Tyee Middle School home page:  http://schools.bsd405.org/tyee/  Be sure to sign-up for General Information and your Child's grade.  Thanks much!
